Scanner wasn't working, so the camera didn't do so nice a job of capturing it. It actually isn't this light, but the flash on the acrylic surface made it shiny.0.o

This is an acrylic painting I made in Visual Arts class, for our acrylics assignment. I have absolutely fallen in love with the background (guess what more of my pictures are gonna include. *winkwink*)

I wanted it to have lots of contrast, between the warm browns and what was supposed to be a cold white horse with blue shadowing. At the end though, it turned out too blue, so I just added a horn and beard, so it wouldn't seem so funny looking.XD I then wanted even more contrast, by adding the black bend-or spot on her rump.^^

I really love this!! the definition in the eye, the hair (particularly the beard), the shading on the hindquaters and not to mention the background are all beautiful!

Wow, that's great work! Acrylics are really hard to work with, so doubly impressive :aww: Love the shading and the pose, very dynamic :)
The shading on the mountains in the background is gorgeous too :D
