Yet another stamp testifying to peoples greed. This one is dedicated to the hundreds of wolves who have been poached and killed in North America because of the many 'horror stories' people have heard and because of greed. There have been no documented cases of wolves (In north america, not europe) without rabies ( or other diseases killing or harming people. Sure, there was the one case where a scientist got bit by a wolf, but he was breaking up a fight between it and his dog. And there was another case where a man wore deer scent while hunting and a wolf knocked him over, because it thought he was a deer, but it ran off without harming the man.*sigh* People honestly need to understand what they are going to kill, and why they are going to kill it, before they act..

Sorry for my rant.It just annoys me that people see the need to poach such amazing animals and Apex Predators because of fairy tales and fear, because they don't have enough sense to research the animals they are going to hunt.

And yes, I DO know that it says hunting, even though the wolves have been on and off the endangered list for the past few years, but it is Hunting in the context of like, lynch mobs and pitchforks, sorta like the killing of monsters, which is the point I am trying to prove, that wolves are not the murdering monsters that people make them out to be, or that they romanticize about. Wolves are wild, undomesticated, apex predators, not monsters, not evil demons out to get your baby, or to eat your livestock (unless there is little to no prey in the area, then all moving quadrupeds from mice to sheep are fair game) but they aren't the romanticized 'lone, brave souls' either. They are complicated, disciplined animals (and don't contradict me here, because by disciplined, I mean in the context of pack ranks and such) which have every right to avoid and fear humans, though they shouldn't have to fear us because we are out to get them!

Again, sorry for the rant. Just thought I should throw that out there.
